Sponsor A Net

It is easy, just choose the Net Number you would like to sponsor from our list.

Net
Net

Sponsors will receive the following:
• A detailed habitat description and picture of your net's location.
• Colour photographs of a few of the popular and/or rare birds caught at your net.
• A weekly online status update with the number of species and birds banded so that you can track your net's progress during the banding season.
• A report summarizing your nets final banding statistics for the season (July – Oct).
• Publicity of your organization/business and sponsorship on the RPBO website.

By sponsoring a net, you are helping to support the many stewardship and conservation programs and projects of Rocky Point Bird Observatory including the Fall Migration Monitoring Project and the Northern Sawwhet Owl Fall Monitoring Program. RPBO is the only west coast member of the Canadian Migration Monitoring Network (CMMN). Our research provides scientists in Canada and around the world with important information on
coastal bird populations, migration patterns, bird conservation, stewardship and management. RPBO is a nonprofit registered charity and we depend upon your support to continue to be an active participant in the migration research community, contributing to stewardship and conservation as well as increasing public awareness and education of birds and their coastal habitats.

Sponsor An Owl Net

Help support RPBO by sponsoring a net or "adopting" a bird!

It is easy, just choose the Owl Net Number you would like to sponsor this year from our list.

Hundreds of migrating amazing little Northern Saw-whet Owls (NSWO) are banded each fall by RPBO as part of a North American continent-wide consortium Project Owlnet (projectowlnet.org). The operating costs of RPBO's owl banding and monitoring program are minimal; however, the replacement of a single net is $150.
You can help RPBO continue population monitoring of Northern Saw-whet owls and other programs by sponsoring a net.

In 2010 RPBO banded 525 Northern Saw-whet owls
