May 19-22nd, 2011
RPBO symposium and Hummingbird Team meeting
Please note: activities with an asterisk are open to all hummingbird team volunteers as well as VNHS and RPBO members, although numbers for the Saturday afternoon meeting will be limited. Other hummingbird team sessions are not open to the public.
May 19th: *RPBO 1st Avian Colloquium - evening meeting will be held at UVic. Talks will be about 13 min each and posters will be welcome. It will be held at the Bob Wright Centre Building, Room B150, from 6:30 pm to 9:30.
May 20th: Afternoon hummingbird banding session at Goldstream Hatchery. Evening BBQ for the hummingbird team. These sessions are only open to hummingbird team members.
May 21st: Hummingbird team talks/ discussions - Royal Roads University (Grant 318).
Morning (8.30 am - 12 pm ) Closed sessions - technical talks and breakout sessions. Hummingbird team members only.
*Afternoon (1 pm - 4.30 pm) - talks on various hummingbird subjects.
*Open sessions - public welcome
May 22nd: Banding day (site will be distributed to banding team members)
